Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ Higher Secondary School was established in 9th April, 1894 by Maharani Tulsibati in the name of Agartala Balika Vidyalaya within the Palace Compound as a manifestation of her vision “Education for Girls”. Later on it has been named Maharani Tulsibati Balika Vidyalaya when transferred outside the Palace Compound. Since then it has been catering irrespective of Class, Caste, Religion and Creed by providing quality education and developing full potential of the girls. In 1921 it has been upgraded from Primary School to High School and later on to Higher Secondary School. The School has drawn a lot of appreciation forits excellence both in academics and extracurricular activities. A very good infrastructure withwell-ventilated classrooms and well equipped laboratories ensure that our girls are able to concentrate on the learning process.
NCC : To create an organized trained & motivated youth the School runs National Cadet Crops’ (NCC) successfully which also develops the leadership skills among the students.
Eco Club : It empower our students to explore the environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines. Through this forum students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior.
NSS : To develop the students’ skills as well as to make them learn the importance of selfless services towards the society the School runs the National Service Scheme (NSS) successfully.
Science Club : For the in calculation of scientific attitude and genuine interest in science along with Classroom work as well as to give the syllabus a practical dimension our students are engaged in Science Club.
ST Girls’ Hostel: There are two Hostels for ST Girls’ Students from all over the state where not only the students of Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ H.S. School resides but also students of other School resides. Presently students of Bijoy Kumar Girls’ Higher Secondary School & Bodhjung Girls’ Higher Secondary are residing in these two Hostels which are under the supervision of this institution.
